Privacy at the Ice Huts | Auger Hole Lake (PIPEDA)

Who keeps the ice log of your data

The controller for personal data processed through augerholelake.com is the operator of augerholelake.com. Contact: [email protected].

What sits on the hut’s key ring

Hung on the ring	Why Tormod needs it	How long it stays hung
Nickname	Lets the game greet you by the name you chose	Kept while the hut stays in your name
Email address	Matches you to your own hut whenever you log in again	Kept while the hut stays in your name
Password hash	Checks your login without anyone here ever knowing the password	Kept while the hut stays in your name
Sign-up date	Replying to your notes and stopping abuse of the huts	Kept while the hut stays in your name

Nothing else hangs on the ring. Your real name, address, date of birth, phone number and payment details are never asked for, because no hut on the lake sells anything. The password is kept only as a one-way hash. Lawful basis: performance of a contract (running the account you asked for). Deleting your account wipes all of it at once, and the button for that waits on your account page.

Held in the browser on your side of the ice

Hung on the ring	What it does for your game	How long it stays hung
Coin pail, level, missions and how you set the reels	Picking up where your line was left	Until you clear this browser’s stored data
Age confirmation	So the banner does not ask on each new page	Until you clear this browser’s stored data
Cookie choice	Remembering what you told the cookie banner	Until you clear this browser’s stored data

All of this sits on your own device; none of it is sent across the ice to us.

Google tags wake only on your yes

Pressing “Accept all” lets Google Analytics and Google Ads tags measure visits and whether our adverts lead to play, such as a first spin being made. Google then receives your IP address, device information and those events. Pressing “Essential only” keeps the tags in consent mode, with no cookies and no advertising identifiers. Lawful basis: consent.

Records our host keeps

For security, our host holds ordinary request logs for a short while before they are cleared. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Things that never happen at the lake

No payment data, not once: the lake has nothing for sale.
No marketing email unless you write and ask for it.
Nobody buys or rents your data from Tormod, ever.
Gambling operators get nothing from us, and no gambling affiliate link is hung anywhere.

Rights you hold over the ice log

At any time you may access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to processing, and withdraw your consent. Deleting the account on your account page wipes its data straight away, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes whatever remains. Complaints can go to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
